YOUR NEXT 5K CHALLENGE? ---->
To measure your running progress and improvements over the next 3 months why not take part in the Burma Inverleith 5k fun run in October. Can you maintain or beat your recent Botanics 5k time?
For the 3rd year in a row the 5K "Run for Burma" will be happening in Edinburgh. The run this year will be taking place at Inverleith Park near the Botanic Gardens on 10th October, starting at 11am. Online registration will be opening shortly at a bargain price of just £6 for Scottish Athletic members who register before 1st September (£8 for non Scottish Athletic members.) This price includes a goody bag with a free T shirt! The proceeds go to a very good cause, helping Karen refugees in Burma. More information about this can be found on the Partners website http://www.partnersworld.org.uk/. You can enter as an individual or as part of a team. There are also prizes available for the following categories: Top Male/FemaleTop Junior Male/FemaleTop Veteran Male/FemaleTop Team
There will also be a lunch afterwards in Charlotte Baptist Church where you will have the chance to hear from one of the Karen refugees living in the UK. I will post registration details when online registration begins.
