Join Team Macmillan - Run to change lives

Having found your contact details in regards to running club Jog Scotland, I am contacting you on behalf of Macmillan Cancer Support. I was wondering if you would be interested in supporting our charity. Macmillan Cancer Support in the South of Scotland is encouraging as many people as possible across Edinburgh to take part in running events in 2011. The Edinburgh Half Marathon on 10th April 2011 is a great way to set yourself new goals and raise money for a great cause.

Team Macmillan will be with you all the way providing help, advice and support. When you run with Team Macmillan, you become part of a very special team. Pull on our famous green vest and help change the lives of the two million people living with or beyond cancer in the UK. Macmillan Cancer Support improves the lives of people affected by cancer. We provide practical, medical and financial support and push for better cancer care. Cancer affects us all. We can all help.

For more information go to: www.macmillan.org.uk/running or call myself on 0131 260 3720

If you think that this is something that yourself or fellow members of Jog Scotland would be interested in taking part in for Macmillan then please do not hesitate to contact me. We have some flyers and posters which we could send to you or maybe you would be willing to circulate an email with some information to your members.

I look forward to hearing from you soon.

Thank you.

Best Wishes,

Elizabeth Robertson

sun 23rd of january-postponed santa run....

Just a quick reminder that the British Heart foundation Scotland’s fundraising jog in Dalkeith takes place next Sunday 23rd of January.

The Post Xmas Pud Run! Has 2 routes, a 4 or 6k that are really unique, based in the Dalkeith Country Estate a beautiful and tranquil location for a run.

You can enter online until Friday and pick up your pack on the day, or you can enter on the day. www.bhf.org.uk/santajogdalkeith

Run starts at 11am and you get medal, santa suit, and refreshments! ( it is a postponed xmas event due to the snow, no obligation to take a santa suit!)

There is a cafe on site and it makes for a great family day out with lovely walks and wildlife to enjoy.

I hope this may be of interest to you and that you wouldn’t mind passing it on to other runners / family members that you think might be interested.

Many thanks
