Like running? Like good tunes? Like eating cake?

If you said yes to any of these, then the good news is the ERN LP RUN and cake competition is back!  At 11am on Sunday 19th August at Meadowbank Stadium
For our 3rd year, bigger and better than ever before.
This year in aid of local charity, Cruse Bereavement Care South East Scotland.

The run is based on the oldest race in Houston, Texas now in its 45th year.
For the ipod generation here is a short explanation.
On the crack of the starting pistol you run as many Revolutions Per Minute (laps) of the track as you can during 33 and a third minutes, all the while listening to top tunes from the
 60s, 70s and 80s.
Entrants are responsible for counting their own laps but there will be independent verification of the front runners and prizes for the top male and female finishers, as well as spot prizes.

Edinburgh Running Network (ERN) members love their cake, so bring along an entry to the cake competition too. The cakes will be judged as the race is run and prizes awarded for the Tastiest Cake, the Best Dressed Cake and Best Traybake. Then, after the race in done and dusted, arguably the best bit - tea, coffee and cake!

There are fire-engine red technical T-shirts to order when you enter, and you can also suggest your favourite running track, from the 60s, 70s or 80s, to accompany your run on the day.

ERN is one of the friendliest running clubs in Scotland. Come along and find out just how much we love to run, and eat cake.
